Polaris on the road post three – Oman. Polaris has a niche supplying marketing services to maritime and engineering companies around the world. Technology is enabling an entrepreneur revolution where small businesses now have an international reach which was unthinkable even 15 years ago. Big businesses are adapting and partnering with more specialist small businesses globally. Amazon, Facebook and Ebay are just three examples of big businesses growing through partnership with small companies.
Polaris’ exports adventures first took us to Oman in 2014 where we started working with two of the nation’s biggest maritime companies Oman Drydock Companyand Oman Shipping Company helping them raise awareness in the abundant English language maritime press which again thanks to tech now has massive international reach with daily enewsletters, websites as well as traditional print.
We’ve been fortunate to visit Oman a number times including promoting unforgettable drydocking ceremonies at Oman Drydock in Duqm. Oman has strong ties with the UK and is a breathtakingly beautiful country to visit.
Our representative in Oman is Maggie Jeans chairman of the British Business Forum in Muscat who was awarded an OBE for services to Anglo Omani relations in 2016.
