Polaris has won a new deal to ramp up awareness of well known Merseyside maritime company SeaKing Electrical.
Polaris managing director Ben Pinnington said it has been charged with promoting SeaKing’s work to the international maritime press. SeaKing specialises in ship electrics and has a turnover of more than £8million with a 100 strong workforce.
“We have worked with SeaKing since 2012 and it’s great to be kickstarting a new campaign for them,” he said. “We are focusing the campaign on SeaKing’s work in the superyacht, naval and commercial vessel sectors. We are offering a range of services including press release writing for the specialist maritime and regional press, social media support on Twitter and LinkedIn as well as copywriting and creative design for company literature.”
Ben said the client win marks a busy period for Polaris. Another new job comes from one of the Gulf’s biggest shipping lines Oman Shipping which has appointed Polaris to promote the growth of its new Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) chartering desk to international maritime press.
Ben said elsewhere Polaris’ newly strengthened creative design and copywriting service has won a series new orders. This includes the writing and design of a brochure for Merseyside shipyard Cammell Laird to promote its Leander warship design, a newsletter for Portuguese shipyard Naval Rocha and trade fair literature for Merseyside manufacturer Lattimer. For this job Polaris is also translating Lattimer’s document into Spanish, French and German.
“Polaris is expanding our service offering to give clients better value,” he said. “Through our PR work we understand our clients messaging very well, so we are transferring this knowledge into film, web design, social media campaigns, copywriting, translations and creative design.”
Ben said in addition Polaris provided PR, video, social media and photography services to long term client Cammell Laird for the launch of the RRS Sir David Attenborough polar ship in July. The launch was one of the biggest news stories in the UK on the day with media generated by Polaris and the British Antarctic Survey press team reaching an estimated one billion people worldwide.
Polaris has offices in Manchester, Merseyside and Lisbon. The company is run by journalist brothers Ben and Sam Pinnington and specialises in PR and marketing services for the maritime, construction, engineering and IT sectors. Polaris has clients in the UK, United States, India, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Romania.
