Polaris is ramping up international activity after delivering a ‘Power of PR’ presentation for the Ireland Portugal Business Network (IPBN).
It comes after the firm struck a special ‘Executive Partner’ deal with the fast expanding Lisbon-based operation involving promotional support to members.
The event at Hotel Lisboa Plaza in Lisbon also saw Polaris providing insight as a panellist alongside the Portuguese Football Federation and other international media firms on the topic of ‘Promotion in the Digital Age’. It was attended by business owners, trade groups and government organisations including the Embassy of Ireland in Portugal.
Set up by journalist brothers Ben and Sam Pinnington in the Port of Liverpool City Region in 2011, Polaris has experience working across 12 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Co-founder and senior partner Sam Pinnington said the firm began exporting British journalist standard PR services in 2013. It is now beginning an Iberian export drive targeting maritime, engineering, manufacturing and exporting sectors.
“This is a very exciting time for Polaris’ exports division,” he said. “We launched a new office in Lisbon in March and have already secured contracts in the region. We have been planning our entry into Iberia and associated Portuguese-speaking and Hispanic countries since early 2017. However, our progress is the culmination of many years of hard work, learning how to export our services and build credibility overseas. We help firms solve the difficulty of raising global profile and generating mass media coverage at low cost.
“Polaris is focused on driving momentum in the Portuguese and Spanish marketplace and we are always looking to align with partners who share our passion for business and export. The IPBN is one of those organisations and we look forward to working hard together, particularly over the next six months as the IPBN looks to double membership. The IPBN is an organisation which Polaris can easily identify with due to our personal Irish and Portuguese family connections and we look forward to supporting its members.”
IPBN Marketing & Membership manager Arnold Delville said: “Our partnership with Polaris Media is an important move as we look to ramp up greater profile and awareness of our network. We have ambitious expansion plans to increase membership both in Portugal and Ireland. We also have an excellent schedule of high-profile events taking place across Portugal, from Porto to the Algarve. Our work with Polaris Media, which has a strong track record managing the reputation of international brands, and in the area of export enables us to offer members and even better deal.
“The IPBN is very proud to have recently launched a new promotional package for members in partnership with Polaris which involves increased profile across multiple channels and an opportunity to harness the power of mass communication through regional, national and international media. We are encouraging exporters with operations in the Portuguese and Irish markets to get in touch to find out more.”
